This site consisted of an existing run-down warehousing operation, centrally located, in this busy town.
Initially, Croydon Council were fiercely resistant to its change of use, to residential, and the application for 31 flats was regrettably refused. Our team worked through different scenarios, meeting with Croydon Council, on a number of occasions. Eventually we submitted a planning application, lowering the original proposed density, and reducing the massing. Regrettably, this was refused, but we appealed the application, using our Barrister’s expertise, via an informal hearing, where the appeal was allowed for 29 flats.
The apartments were delivered to Wandle Housing Association, by way of a turnkey package.
